01 · Enquiry & quote
Send me your ideas, reference images, budget and any deadline. We’ll agree the metal, stones, size and setting, and I’ll confirm your quote before design work begins.
A 50% deposit starts the design process once you accept the quote. The remaining 50% is due when your piece is ready, before dispatch. Please allow around 6–8 weeks for a bespoke piece. I’ll confirm the expected timing for your design when we agree your quote.
02 · Design & approval
I’ll work with the workshop to prepare a CAD model and rendering. You’ll review the proportions, stone positions and setting with me before approving the design.
If a change affects the price or timing, I’ll confirm this with you before proceeding. The workshop only starts making your piece once you have approved the final design. For rings, please confirm your size before approval. If the ring matches the size you supplied but does not fit, correcting it is at your cost and may not be possible. This does not affect your statutory rights or our responsibility for our own errors.
03 · Making & checks
The workshop makes your piece in the agreed metal, sets the stones and finishes and polishes the surfaces. I’ll keep you updated on progress and confirm when it is ready.
Inside the workshop
Your design is developed in 3D, refining its proportions, construction and any stone settings before approval.
A wax or resin model translates the approved design into a physical form for casting.
Your chosen precious metal is cast into the design’s shape, then the casting is cleaned up.
The jeweller refines the metal, assembles components where needed and prepares any stone settings.
For designs with gemstones, each stone is carefully fitted and secured in its setting.
The surfaces are smoothed and polished, with finishing details completed to bring out the metal’s lustre.
The finish, any stone settings and moving parts are checked before your jewellery is ready.
04 · Final payment & delivery
I’ll let you know when your piece is finished and checked. The remaining 50% is then due before dispatch.

The natural diamonds I source for LIAV are Kimberley Process compliant. This international scheme helps prevent rough diamonds used to fund rebel conflict from entering the legitimate trade. Read about the Kimberley Process.

The right route for your piece
If a well-made design already offers what you want, sourcing can be a quicker and more cost-effective route than commissioning a new piece from scratch. It depends on the design, availability and any adjustments needed; I’ll talk you through the options, price and timing.
The aim is to find a piece you love, in a way that makes sense for you. If sourcing doesn’t quite get there, you can explore bespoke instead.
How sourcing works
Send a photograph or describe the piece, along with your budget, preferred metal, diamond preferences and any date you have in mind.
I’ll look through my supplier and workshop network for suitable pieces. A reference image helps guide the search; an exact match may not be available, but a similar design could be just right. You’ll be able to consider the details and any differences before deciding.
Once you have found a piece you like, I’ll confirm its specifications, availability, price and expected timing before you go ahead.
