How your ring comes together
See the design
A 50% deposit starts the design process. You’ll receive a CAD design and rendering to review, with time to discuss adjustments before final approval.
Made for you
Once you approve the design, the workshop begins making your ring. The stones are set and the metal is carefully finished, with checks along the way.
Ready for your moment
Once your ring is ready, the remaining 50% is due before dispatch. Your ring is presented in a box, ready to gift, and I’ll arrange the delivery details with you. Each individual diamond of 1ct or over comes with a certificate: IGI for lab-grown diamonds and GIA for natural diamonds.
Allow around 6–8 weeks once your stone is secured and your deposit is received. If you have a proposal date in mind, let’s discuss it at the beginning.
Inside the workshop
From design to final detail
CAD design
Your design is developed in 3D, refining its proportions, construction and any stone settings before approval.
Wax or resin model
A wax or resin model translates the approved design into a physical form for casting.
Casting
Your chosen precious metal is cast into the design’s shape, then the casting is cleaned up.
Bench refinement
The jeweller refines the metal, assembles components where needed and prepares any stone settings.
Stone setting
For designs with gemstones, each stone is carefully fitted and secured in its setting.
Polish & finishing touches
The surfaces are smoothed and polished, with finishing details completed to bring out the metal’s lustre.
Final checks
The finish, any stone settings and moving parts are checked before your jewellery is ready.
Client case study
Creating her dream ring
Her fiancé proposed with a placeholder ring, giving her time to choose the ring she would wear every day. Living abroad and initially unsure what she wanted, she tried on different styles locally. Together, we used what she liked and what she didn’t to develop the design.
Getting the pear’s proportions right was central to the brief. I sourced a 3.07ct lab-grown diamond with E colour, VVS2 clarity and Excellent polish and symmetry. Its 1.50 length-to-width ratio offered the balance we were looking for: an elongated pear with enough fullness through the rounded end. It was a beautiful find for this design.
She wanted sparkle from every angle. Alongside the diamond-set band, we added a hidden halo beneath the centre stone and further pavé diamonds on the gallery rail.
For the metal, we decided platinum was the right choice over white gold. Its hypoallergenic qualities appealed to her sensitive skin, while its durability made it a practical choice for everyday wear. Naturally white, platinum keeps its colour without rhodium plating and develops a soft patina over time.
The ring was custom-made from start to finish. I sourced the stones, and we developed the design through CAD drawings and a wax model before moving into casting, stone setting and polishing.
Inside the band, we set two hidden birthstones: a ruby for her fiancé and a blue topaz for her. A personal detail tucked beneath a ring designed around everything she had come to love.

Champagne, framed in gold
A breathtaking 3.02ct lab-grown champagne emerald-cut diamond, framed by two lab-grown trapezoid diamonds, 0.30ct each, and secured with talon claws. A polished 3mm D-section band in 18K yellow gold brings warmth to this geometric three-stone design.

The Asscher bezel
A 3.41ct natural Asscher-cut diamond, framed by a polished 18K yellow gold bezel that follows its clipped corners. Its stepped facets give the design depth, while a 2.5mm D-section band keeps the setting understated.
